Junior Internet - Interesting Czech projects
Events April 3rd, 2008
Junior Internet just happened to happen this weekend. JI (www.juniorinternet.cz) is the top conference in Czech Republic for young people from 10 - 18 if they want to present their internet pages, mobile pages, and this year even mobile applications!
I personally participated in this project extremely long ago (5 years back), and now I just go and visit some of my old friends who organize this great show for kids.
This year for me was very special, not only did we have a great time and chat with many of the people there, but a blind person had a little speach on how he uses the internet and also showed us how he uses his mobile phone. It was amazing, and truly inspiring for anyone who wants to help. Then I googled a little and realized that there is over 150 000 blind people only in Czech Republic, which was something that completely hit me and I told myself that we have to do something with this. I exchanged a few e-mails, messages, and connected together on ICQ with the guy, and we are exchanging ideas on how our Symbian developers could possibly help them.
