Google Chrome web browser is out - will it be mobile?
Uncategorized September 2nd, 2008
Many of you have probably seen the recent release on Google Chrome, Google’s new webbrowser, which should be announced for download any minute now (actually any second now). It’s a new browser supposed to be preventing many things that the “old” browsers (just downloaded Firefox 3) don’t support.
Go Google, I have to say… But let’s not think about the web version, please check the links below. Will Google try to use Google Chrome and it’s brand to enter mobile. Can someone imagine a Google Chrome Mobile? I was thinking on it and in the Opera way it kind of makes sense, especially in a way that it would be a great entry point for Google, and as we have seen Google is really trying to mobilize as many services possible, and this would finally enable them to launch some Mobile API’s (article launched yesterday). Well let’s see where that all goes, and what Google Dev teams do and if they come up with Google Chrome Mobile
Would make sense, no?

I think the answer to your question is a definite “Yes”. That’s easy to answer now that Google has commented about it.
With everyone talking about Google going after IE and the Microsoft desktop, most people overlook how Google’s mobile strategy ties into everything.
If you think about the phone as the “computer everyone carries around with them” and that more and more power is coming to these small hand held devices, Chrome and Android place Google smack dab in the path of future progress.
Just like in real estate investing, it’s all about location, location, location.
Google’s got theirs well set on mobile devices.

michael: I totally agree with you Michael. I can even see how that browser could look, as mobile browsers have even more disadvantages then PC browsers, and they need a lot of work to be done.
