Euro Mobile Media is a conference this April in Prague, and HungryMobile is on board as 1. the media partner, and 2. the Opinions in Mobile panel will be present. We put together an all-stars-team program, which is a must-see in the mobile industry. One of my most read articles, to my suprise, was the article - How do blind people use mobile phones?. If you haven’t read it, I definitely suggest on reading it. In the article, I focus on vision-impaired people, who don’t have the ability to see, or have such limited seeing abilities that they have to use a talking mobile phone.... Read full article
Mobile phones have had lousy batteries for quite some time and you could say that it is actually getting worse and worse. If you look at the phone timeline, the first phones started off with a few hours of talk time, and say a day of non-active mode, then came stronger monochrome devices, with up to a week of charge time, or even two weeks in extreme cases, even though you used the phone and called a lot.... Will it hurt the revenues? What about refunding policies of so called AppStores, where Google announced in their Android Market a 24 hour return policy for games? Where is this all leading?... I was thinking for quite some time on what the next What if series would be. For those of you who haven’t followed the What if Facebook merged with Nokia, I suggest you read the first of this new series of articles. The what if series is supposed to bring an answer and vision to a possibility that two companies would merge, or if some particular set of events would happen. I chose GOOGLE this time as buyer, and AOL as the seller in this case.... Read full article
iPhone, Android, Windows Mobile, Palm, and now even Nokia with its OVI. If you say AppStore, then most operators content revenues and moods probably start shivering. Why is that? They are afraid that the “AppStore”s, lets call them, will hit their mobile content, primarily mobile game revenues - a lot. And yes, it’s true - they wil.... Read full article
