Google, a leader in the world of internet buys Admob for $ 750 mil. Admob, who in total served 125 billion mobile impressions, is the global leader of mobile advertising right by Google. Honestly Google was probably the only company to have acquired it in the first place.

This is a huge step for Google in the mobile industry. This shows their direct commitment in mobile, and also the willingness they have to acquire other companies to simply step in the market. Google hasn’t been moving in mobile adwords as fast as they should have in the mobile industry - now we maybe see why - they were waiting for someone to really get big, where Admob did get very big, and couldn’t be ignored by Google.

Financials were disclosed - Admob will be acquired at a price of $ 750 million. That’s huge money, and so far I think Google’s third largest full acquisition since Doubleclick and YouTube (correct me if I’m wrong), largest in the mobile services space so far.

Great stuff! I’d like to wish the Admob and Google teams good luck with the integration process which is obviously going to start happening.
