I would like to end this review of Google mobile services with an ending article. Not to only critisize Google’s services, which was part of what I’ve done in the articles in the past two weeks. Of course, what can be better with Google then Google Maps. Google Maps Mobile is available throughout all different series of handsets. This week, I wanted to take a closer look on the latest version (new launched in last weeks) of the Google Mobile search product, the key product for Google on the internet. I tested with a quite regular better handset today, the Nokia N95. I took a look at all key parts and came to the fact that Google on most devices displays WEB searches on mobile devices first before it displays mobile results. Is this a good thing? Let’s see.... Some weeks ago I have been trying to search the web for any reference to Google Maps Mobile API - with zero results to be able to find anything. Fortunatelly for everyone, its already available. Google Maps has a released what they called a Static API, where it generates static images perfectly usable for mobile phones. The documentation can be found here.
